Google has released its first core update of 2023, the March 2023 broad core update. The update targets all content types to reward high-quality content and high-value web pages. However, nothing within this or any core update targets specific pages or sites.
It is speculated that this latest update will upset the black-hat SEO community, as the latest Google guidelines aim to prevent these tactics from ranking higher in search results. This is the case with all of Google’s latest algorithm updates because they wish to discourage and completely block these tactics from ever occurring.
It may take a few weeks for the effects to become noticeable of this update. However, it is advised to closely monitor a site’s metrics over time to take notice of any changes.
